RED on the RED CARPET

The Red Carpet face-off...
Left: Amanda Seyfried

When in doubt about red take a lesson from HEIDI KLUM.

Valentino usually does no wrong.  Model Tanya Dziahileva wore his signature spring 2009 Haute Couture gown well, but the dress did not get a standing ovation on Amanda Seyfried at the Oscar's last night.  It seems as though this young starlet is drowning in fabric.

Whether Heidi chooses to show skin or not she masters the red dress every time.

Oscar at age 81 still attracts the ladies

Leading ladies, Kate Winslet and Penélope Cruz, pose with Oscar's leading man Sean Penn.

Sarah Jessica Parker in a Dior Haute Couture.  Mixed reviews have been given in regards to SJP's gown, but we say keep the sea foam silk tulle.  Her gown created a vision worthy of a fashion fantasy in our books.
Natalie Portman, the effervescent stunner, succeeds again at achieving the wow factor.  In such a slight frame she manages to captivate an adoring eye at every glimpse.  In this strapless orchid gown she can do no wrong.
Miley Cyrus, the ultimate teen-queen, does her fans proud hamming it up on the red carpet, and dressed in this scalloped Zuhair Murad gown.  She looks tasteful and youthful, with some appropriate grown-up hollywood glamour.

A date with Oscar on a star studded night.  Mingling with Oscar is always an honor he's shiny and accomplished.  Dresses, beauty, and ultra-glamour run-a-muk tonight.  Princesses prance in their gowns meant for their royalty status that they claim.  Show stopping appearance at every turn.

Jill Stuart brings flirt to the runway

We thought Jill Stuart brought some undeniable flirt to the runway.  We loved her beautiful choice of pastels and frills.  I'm ready for the date with Mr. Right and the follow-up meeting  the parents with these clothes in my wardrobe.  Not to mention I'm now prepared to go to a refined tea with the ladies.

Lindsay looked like she was having fun...

Hilary makes an appearance at the DKNY fashion show sporting a simple a simple dress... maybe even a little too simple.  Spice-up what should be a spicy color Hilary, and stop pulling on your pocket.

Kardashian isn't messing around at the Y-3 2009 fashion show.

AnnaLynne McCord let everyone know who's boss front row at the Monarchy Fall 2009 show

New York Night Life

Add ImageLast night was a total blast, between Jay flying in for a last minute romp in the Big apple, to the prime fashion studded flings that we attended, it couldn't have been more perfect. I almost died when Isaac told me we could borrow these matching glitzy numbers. They are so us...especially for a night in NY! I hope Isaac didn't mind our choice to pair the dresses with our new matching Michael, rockin', ankle boots.
Today is major. We had the Ralph fashion show at 10, now we're sitting down for Tadashi Shoji, and later at 2 we'll finish up with a little Chado Ralph Rucci before jet setting back to LA. If you're wondering why we are heading back to LA so soon...it's Oscar Weekend of course. I think I found the perfect dress too!
Can't wait to update you on some more events and tell you what we're wearing today!!

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 2009...oh so fun!

This week has been big in fashion. I have experienced an explosion of senses at the different shows around town. I've been in New York all week because of fashion week. I flew in from LA on Thursday the 12th. It's been awesome and it is only getting better today.

10 AM (Tent):
The week started out with The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection 2009. It looked like all the girls participating were having a blast! As our former first lady and Heart Truth's national ambassador said, "Nothing draws attention like a little red dress".

11 AM (Promenade):
Next was Yigal Azrouël's show. He defines himself through the "high quality fabrics that he uses to drape ultra feminine, modern silhouettes". He is typically sited for having a unique vision. He went from clean, edgy, and somewhere in between this season...

2 PM (promenade): Charlotte Ronson's collection displayed her typical feminine sensibility. She mixed it up by showing a powerful, strong woman, while still keeping her feminine edge.

I'm skipping ahead...I have had so much fun this week that I have lost track of how many events I should have told you about, but I can't wait to show you the stunning dress Michael gave me to wear in LA! You saw me in his tweed suit that I am wearing to all of today's events. I just love Michael Kors. I think he has a good philosophy about today's fashion industry. He said, "“I’ve been through recessions before. We started the business, what, 29 years ago, and times were tough then. You’ve got to keep going, offer great value and fabulous clothes that women really want to wear.” ...and that's just what he did this season. He had a certain practicality about his line, but he introduced a lot of fun colors and exciting pieces to keep things new, fresh and upbeat.

I'm really excited to wear my new dress sometime soon!
